Central South University

Construction Background:

Central South University, located in Changsha, Hunan Province, the school covers an area of 3.17 million square metres and has 60,537 full-time students. As the users have a good physical feeling of using it, a long-term relationship has been established, and 100 small class plates were added again in November 22, and a data interface was created for the teaching view statistics, and the view fields of each dimension of the board were sorted out in detail.

In early 2017, CSU built this system and positioned it for the collection and analysis of student behavioural data.

Construction results:

Student attendance rates have increased as the system has been built, gradually changing from 80% at first to over 98%;

In May 2018, the Ministry of Education conducted an undergraduate teaching assessment audit of Central South University, and Will Contract’s student class behavior data system became one of the six assessment visits and was recognized by experts, helping the university to complete the undergraduate teaching assessment;

On 13 November 2018, the official website of the Ministry of Education reported that the “Four Systems” student classroom behavior system of Zhongnan University, which cultivates good credits, has become an important tool for the university to build a “diligent learning – cultivation” system and guide students to self-discipline and upward mobility.

China University of Petroleum

Construction Background:

The campus of China University of Petroleum covers a total area of more than 5,000 mu, with nearly 18,900 full-time undergraduate students

The University of Petroleum built this system, deploying 450 10-inch devices and 47 21.5-inch devices, covering four teaching buildings and three laboratory buildings. The system is mainly used for information distribution and multimedia linkage control, automatically granting access control and multimedia use rights according to the course, replacing the traditional way of operation of requiring management assistance to switch on and off equipment during classes.

Due to good user experience, 8 new wifi version SCTs and 15 standard SCTs were added in June 22, and 55 new POE powered version SCTs were added in August.

 

Solution:

Start mainly for information release and multimedia linkage control, according to the course automatically grant access control and multimedia use rights, instead of the traditional classroom class requires the assistance of management personnel to open and close the equipment operation mode. Realize students and teachers swipe the card to scan the code to open the door, the teacher’s identity can open the door to open multimedia. In 2016, the QR code access control system was deployed and interfaced with the university’s corporate WeChat platform, making it the first university in Shandong Province to achieve QR code access control access.

Attendance and door opening and multimedia linkage greatly save staff time in opening multimedia. The examination room display has improved the image of the school’s information technology construction.

Chongqing Engineering College

Construction Background:

Chongqing Engineering College has two campuses, Nanquan and Shuangqiao, covering an area of 815 acres, with more than 930 teachers and 15,800 students on campus.

The school does not require attendance for daily classes of teachers and students, but has a need for classroom signage terminal interface, information dissemination and linked video patrol, and therefore sought a customised solution.

 

Solution:

Classroom scenario: according to the actual management needs of the school, personalised development of the class attendance terminal is done, i.e. the opening of doors according to the class schedule is abolished, no judgement is made on the scheduling of classes, and doors are opened according to personnel access control rights.

The video tour administrator was extended from supporting teachers to supporting teachers and students, docking the school data centre exam data to our UIP exam module.

Subsequent on-line laboratory scenarios, new equipment, for security reasons, do not allow random access, based on the classroom terminal program, restore the door by class schedule, add check boxes to open the door by access control privileges, open the door by class schedule, etc.

Construction Background:

Construction Background:

The school has two campuses, Jinpenling and Yuntang, with over 41,000 full-time students.

The school needs to verify the identity of students attending classes and obtain basic data on student behaviour in classes, which can be analysed according to the data and class schedule rules to form an application for student attendance in classes, providing course attendance information data for the Academic Affairs Office and Academic Staff Office, so that the school has a clear grasp of the overall teaching situation and can make improvement measures according to the actual situation.

 

Solution:

By deploying smart class boards at classroom entrances, electronic class schedules, information dissemination and collection of students’ class sign-in information (by means of campus cards, QR codes, face recognition, etc.) are achieved.

Through the analysis of classroom data, the first aspect of classroom quality is controlled: the attendance rate, and in this way the most reliable and complete data on student behaviour is collected. This data can be shared collaboratively with the academic affairs department, the academic staff department and the information technology construction department, and ultimately contributes a real and reliable source of data for big data analysis.

Real-time alerts are set up through real-time alerts with attendance alert rules (e.g. continuous no-shows, cumulative no-shows, changes in attendance rates).

Construction Background:

The school has two campuses in Jichuan and Taixing, with a total campus area of 699,200 square metres, nearly 800 staff and more than 10,000 full-time students.

Through the integration of attendance management experience with the student management needs of the campus, the efficiency of course check-in management can be improved, assisting schools to improve class attendance rates and facilitating schools to take real-time control of student work and take corresponding measures.

Student check-in data is accumulated and mined as big data on learning behaviour, providing big data support for school decision-making and promoting standardisation of school management.

Solution:

Synchronisation of academic scheduling data (direct use of information from existing academic systems to optimise the integration of resources), direct use in conjunction with the school’s existing academic system through a dedicated data interface, sharing data.

Classroom schedules are displayed via Smart Classboard, which can show the day and week schedules, and click on the weekly schedule to show student sign-in for the day’s classes.

The class screen automatically jumps during class time to show class details for different roles.

Mobile: Tutors can view the attendance of their management classes and process approvals on mobile; teachers can view their individual course sign-in; students can view their individual class schedules by week and can sign-in with a code via mobile.
